Living in Lake St. Louis feels a little like a vacation. Beautiful newer homes and modern facilities are just a short drive from the city’s two lakes, as well as golf courses, parks, riding stables, and more.

Lake Saint Louis began in 1966 as a private recreational lake community. It was not until May of 1975 that the community also became a city under the Revised Statutes of Missouri.

Lake St. Louis is purposefully designed to be a get-away for city dwellers and a haven for folks looking for homes “off the beaten path”. That said, access to interstate 70 and highway 61 means that driving into the city is a 30-40 minute trip. There is also easy access to Lambert St. Louis International airport.

As a planned community, Lake Saint Louis offers home and business owners some of the finest residential and commercial amenities available anywhere.

Recreation is easy in Lake St. Louis. There is an 18-hole championship golf course (Lake Forest Country Club), two nine-hole golf courses, tennis courts, beaches, swimming pools, riding stables, and many lovely parks. Shoppers can take advantage of the Shoppes at Hawk Ridge, The Shoppes at Lake Saint Louis, or the Meadows at Lake St. Louis, three modern shopping centers. These centers occasional play host to local arts and crafts fairs.

Lake St. Louis is part of the Wentzville R-IV school district, a highly rated school district. Lake St. Louis itself has two elementary schools, both of which are thought of highly by residents.
